My Bokeh Masters Kit arrived in post today, so I quickly set up the fairy lights to test it.
I’m very pleased with the bokeh patterns I’m getting.
I used a 50mm 1.4, wide open for the tests.
The real challenge will be to get a sharp portrait in the foreground and a cool bokeh...

This is the best compact camera Canon has ever made. In fact they made it so good, that they never replaced it with a next model in this product line. Now it’s time to ebay it, and get a “go everywhere camera”, which fits into a pocket.

I visited the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers Convention and Trade Show in Hammersmith.
Among countless album and printing companies, there are some interesting stands where one can see, touch, try and buy gadgets and accessories which we would otherwise be viewing or ordering on-line.
All under one roof :-)

The show is taking place at the Business Design Centre in Islington, and is still on today until 5pm.
Plenty to see and a great opportunity to get a hands on experience with the latest and greatest 7D and 1D Mk IV.
I am now completely sold on the 7D mostly because of the ability to control...

Last week I spent a fiver on some second hand Vivitar color filters (…I wouldn’t call them gels, they’re too rigid…), nicked a beautiful kimono doll from the top of my parents’ piano, and set up a classic tabletop seamless.
